Funimation announced at its Sakura-Con panel on Friday that it has licensed the Assassination Classroom the Movie: 365 Days' Time(Ansatsu Kyōshitsu: 365-Nichi no Jikan) and Garo: Divine Flame anime films. The company plans to release both directly to home video.
Funimation plans to release Assassination Classroom the Movie: 365 Days' Time on July 3.
The film opened in Japan in November 2016. The film is a compilation for the television anime, but adds an extra scene that depicts the class reunion that takes place at the end of the manga, seven years after the manga's climax. In Japan, the film screened alongside an anime adaptation of Jō Aoto and Kizuku Watanabe's Koro-sensei Q! (Koro Teacher Quest!) spinoff manga.
The first 22-episode season of the Assassination Classroom anime premiered in Japan in January 2015, and the second season premiered in January 2016. Funimation licensed both seasons for North America.
