The official website for the stage play adaptation of Nakaba Suzuki's The Seven Deadly Sins manga revealed on Saturday that Nanatsu no Taizai The Stage (The Seven Deadly Sins The Stage) will run from August 3 to August 12 at The Galaxy Theatre in Tokyo, and from August 18 to August 20 at Umeda Arts Theater Dramacity in Osaka.
The website also revealed that Nobuhiro Mōri (Hakuōki, Black Butlerstage plays) is directing and writing the screenplay.
The new season of the anime, The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments (Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu), premiered in Japan in January and is ongoing.
Nakaba Suzuki's original manga inspired a 24-episode television anime series that aired in 2014 and 2015. Netflix later streamed the series with both English and Japanese audio, and Funimation released the series in two parts on home video. A four-episode television anime special titled The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War- then premiered in August 2016. Netflix began streaming the series in February 2017. An anime film titledGekijōban Nanatsu no Taizai Tenkū no Torawarebito (The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky) will premiere on August 18.
